Draped bust of Balash to right, wearing an elaborate mural crown; before head, ‘hwkd wldʾš’ = ‘hukay Wardāš/Walāš’ (‘The good king, Balash’ in Pahlavi). Rev. Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants; head of Balash to right on the shaft; above altar, star and crescent; to left, ‘wldʾ[š]’ = ‘Wardā[š]/Walā[š]’ (‘Balash’ in Pahlavi); to right, AS (abbreviation for the name of the mint in Pahlavi).
